Assalaam Alaikum MI Gente,

Last sunday marked an important occasion for my self and others around me, I took one closer step towards Allah (subhana watallah).

I attended the Islamic Relief Show in London, artists from all over paying homage to Islamic faith and their deen, it was a great show at the Royal Albert Hall in London, United Kingdom.

I mainly went there to greet 1 artist who performed, by the name of Napoleon, who was part of the group The Outlaws, lead by the late multi platinum hip hop artist, Tupac SHakur.

Napoleon reverted back to the deen 4 years ago, and now is making music to express purity and great essence alike. The Brother is of Latino (boricua) and African American origin, and I myself is of Venezuelan/ Nubian- Egyptian origin. I studied and applied Islam to myself since a good year back in my life, but i felt its now time to accept it, and declare my faith; brother Napoleon helped me and finally applied the Shahadah ritual with me, it was beautiful, I felt energised, spiritually cleansed , i really feel how is it to be like of a new born baby, innocent and blessed. Alhumduallah!
