Those Nagging Questions about Jesus
Did you know, that the No. 1 reason why Christians convert to Islam is because Islam provides answers to every question they ever had about Christianity? Islam is the fastest growing religion in the USA simply because people are tired of the confusion that the Church creates.
One cannot leave such unanswered questions to scholars or to "having faith". How can the very basis of a religion, as is the question of who Jesus really is, be too complicated to be understood by its people?
Do you have nagging questions about who Jesus really is, too? Do you ever wonder how Jesus can be God, man and son all at the same time? Do the flowery sermons in church confuse you more than answer your questions? Do you ever wonder who Jesus prayed to? Do you want indisputable facts?
Then please, give Islam a chance.
It is an article of faith for Muslims to believe in Jesus. Muslims believe, according to the Holy Quran, that Jesus is the Messiah. He was God's Messenger and he came to give guidance to mankind.
The Qur'an tells us a lot of wonderful things about Jesus. The Qur'an says that Jesus:
- was born of a virgin,
'Behold!' the Angel said, 'God has chosen you, and purified you, and chosen you above the women of all nations. O Mary, God gives you good news of a word from Him, whose name shall be the Messiah, Jesus son of Mary, honored in this world and the Hereafter, and one of those brought near to God. He shall speak to the people from his cradle and in maturity, and shall be of the righteous.'
She said: 'O my Lord! How shall I have a son when no man has touched me?' He said: 'Even so; God creates what He will. When He decrees a thing He says to it, "Be!" and it is.' (Quran, {3.42::qs3.42}-7)
Truly, the likeness of Jesus with God is as the likeness of Adam. He created him of dust, and then said to him, 'Be!' and he was. ({3.59::qs3.59})
Jesus' name is (honourably) mentioned in the Quran 25 times whereas the name of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon them both) is only mentioned 5 times.
- that he spoke while he was still only a baby,
- that he healed the blind and the leper by God's leave,
- and that he raised the dead by God's leave.
'I have come to you with a sign from your Lord: I make for you out of clay, as it were, the figure of a bird, and breathe into it and it becomes a bird by God's leave. And I heal the blind, and the lepers, and I raise the dead by God's leave.' ({3.49::qs3.49})
Jesus was a prophet - one of the greatest of all time. The reason why many Christians are confused about Jesus is simply because despite the fact that the Bible, just like the Holy Quran, clearly tells you that Jesus is a Prophet, the church has been trying to complicate the issue by telling you he is god or is the son of god.
The matter really is very simple! A Martian who reads the Bible without foreknowledge from the Church will tell you Jesus was a Prophet, not God.
In the Bible:
It is clear-cut and straightforward in the Holy Quran because "God is not the author of confusion", to quote the Bible. You will not get any of the confusion with regard to who Jesus is or who God is - just concrete and indisputable facts.
- Jesus preached that he is man and has come with a message from God
- Jesus fasted for long periods just like Muslims do
- Jesus fell to the floor on his face to pray (to whom?) just like Muslims do
- Jesus said "Peace be Upon you" just like Muslims do
- Jesus said "Inshallah (God-willing) just like Muslims do
As a Muslim, you are not rejecting Prophet Jesus and you are certainly not rejecting God! Muslims love and worship the one and only Almighty God - the God of Abraham, Moses, Jesus, Muhammad - The Creator of all people from all lands - the SAME Almighty God. (Allah just means God in Arabic and can be found in Arabic Bibles too!)
The Bible as conceded by many Christian scholars and officials has been altered and tampered with by man and that's why there is so much confusion and contradiction. God is not the author of confusion, is He? We are not driving you to lies and hell - we are sharing the truth with you. It is the SAME truth that has made Islam the fastest growing religion in the West - especially America! There must be a reason, don't you think?
