Thank you USA
USA to me is NOT: George Bush, Dick Cheney, Rumsfield, Dr. Condy, many congressmen and senators . They all have approval rating of about 30% . Including in my list are many TV anchormen who promote their own agenda over the benefit of this great country.
A county is separated into two parts, the government and people. In many countries on earth, Governments are up there in their ivory tower not feeling the real problems of citizens, which are security at home, good jobs, good educations, good health care, liberty and freedom of expression, freedom association, freedom of religion, and freedom to get information.
USA to me is the many Americans friends whom I met and know for so many years. They are the Ken Weaver, Stan Gatchel, , Ray Santillan Jr., Lynn Feinauer, Larry Bruchey, Bob Andrews, Ross Rumore, Ross Wheeler, Ed Lewis, Doug Crawford, Jerry Randolph, Keith hunt, Becky Jewett, Sally Hartzell, Linda Hillin, Sam Whitaker, Bob Cates, john Kason, Rich D, Tim Campbell, and many others.
I remember the good old days when we were working hard, making good money, and enjoying our life at the same time.
I remember the good old days when the manufacturing sector was thriving in USA.
USA to me is the principles of human liberty , freedom of expression, freedom association, freedom of religion.
USA to me is the ideas of founding fathers: George Washington, John Adams, Thomas Jefferson, and Abraham Lincoln.
USA to me is the freedom to work and achieve the American dream.
So, I hate you see you declining because of the arrogant ideas of your administration, congress and senate who are drunk by success that may no more exist for a long time.
I hate to see you exporting McDonald hamburger and Pizza hut instead of liberty, freedom justice for all, and manufactured goods.
I hate to see you supporting Muslim dictators. Do you remember what happened to Shah of Iran?
I hate to see your private companies moving from family atmosphere to political animals atmosphere..
I hate to see your manufacturing sector moving to China, and service sector moving to India.
I hate to imagine what kind of jobs are left to American, when income tax filing, Banking and open heart surgery move to India.
I hate to hear from a young American lady that told me "one day there will be only one bank on earth, and the name of this bank is bank of China."
I hate to see the American working class, which briefly achieved the status of world's working-class aristocracy after World War II - industrial workers who enjoyed homes, cars, long vacations, and even boats - has seen real wages declining for many years.
I hate to see that over time the US will decline to a secondary role in high-tech.
I hate to see that China or India each likely have something on the order of three or four times the natural mathematical endowment of the US. Their new high-growth economies and emerging modern infrastructure prepare the way for full application of this priceless talent.
I hate to see the American media and their shared establishment interests with George Bush have produced a fabric of omissions and exaggerations as great as we might expect in a non-democratic society like China, or Egypt.
I hate to see malicious radio and television commentators plus a vast apparatus of phony think-tanks, propaganda mills subsidized by right-wing interests, help greatly in the effort to confuse public understanding of internal and external affairs.
I hate to see the USA exploited UK Tony Blair to spike European aspirations, much as Margaret Thatcher was previously.
I hate to see Europe simply sees the problem of Palestine/Israel in a clearer light than the U.S. where religious fundamentalism and other powerful factors blur vision.
I hate to see your democracy are been bought by millions of dollars.
I hate to see you loosing your top rank in mathematics, science, and technology.
I hate to see some of your your young generation using drugs, have freedom of sex, and committing crimes like the one in Abu Gharaib prison, Iraq, Virginia Tech massacre, and Columbine High School massacre
I hate to see 40 million American living without health Insurance.
A more balanced, multi-polar world is emerging. Unfortunately, the people who seem least ready to deal with it are Americans.
AS I was thinking about where America is going, I have the speech of US Senator Robert Byrd, delivered on the floor of the US Senate, 19 March 2003, ringing in my ears " Today, I Weep for my Country... "
Is it a lost battle? No it is not. That requires the American congress and Administration have the same feelings of the average American.
God Bless America.
